Lviv City Council now has its own chaplain

Lviv city mayor Andriy Sadovyy asked the head of Lviv Archeparchy of UGCC, bishop Ihor Voznyak, to appoint a chaplain for Lviv City Council. The city mayor announced this at the first working session of Lviv City Council of the 6th convocation on November 25.
Father Orest Fredyna, who had been appointed a chaplain, started a meeting with a prayer to the Holy Spirit and said that from now on every session meeting deputies will be starting from prayer.
He also said that at funeral of Fr.Voronovskyy he had been impressed by the lyrics of the song: "Those who rely upon God are frightening to their enemies and strange to everyone, because they look up". Fr. Orest Fredyna said that deputies should also be this way: "We believe in you and are ready to support you."
