MAYNOOTH, Ireland, APRIL 16, 2010 ( The bishops of Ireland are bringing the relics of St. John Vianney to Ireland before the Year for Priests draws to a close.

St. John Vianney is the patron of parish priests and the model proposed by Benedict XVI when he declared this special year to celebrate the priesthood. The Pope will conclude the year June 9-11.

The relics of the French saint will be in Ireland from April 25 to April 29.

Each day of the four-day visit will have a different theme.

In Cork, on April 25, the theme will be "Vocations to the Priesthood." In Dublin the next day, "Social Outreach of the Curé d'Ars." In Knock on April 27, "The Sacrament of Reconciliation." And in Armagh the last day, "The Eucharist and Pastoral Leadership."
