President of Ukraine expressed his gratitude to the Eparch of Ivano-Frankivs’k of the UGCC

On November 13, 2009, in the building of CF "Caritas, Ivano-Frankivs'k UGCC," the representatives of local authorities - Mr. Oleh Korzhak, vice chairman of Ivano-Frankivs'k RSA, Mr. Zenoviy Shkutyak, people's deputy of Ukraine, and Mrs. Tetyana Lapka, chief of the department on matters of religions of the Ivano-Frankivs'k RSA - received the gratitude of President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko to Bishop Volodymyr (Viytyshyn). The secretary of Bishop of Ivano-Frankivs'k UGCC, Fr. Yuriy Trukhan, reported this story.
The document, which was read by Mr. Oleh Korzhak, states: "The gratitude of the President of Ukraine. I express to you Reverend Bishop Volodymyr my sincere gratitude for your significant personal contribution to re-erecting the Ukrainian state and strengthening its independence. With kind regards, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko. Issued in Kyiv, November 9, 2009."
