Pope Benedict XVI to Watch New John Paul II Movie

(16 Oct 08 - RV) A movie on the life Pope John Paul II, based on the recollections of his longtime private secretary and now archbishop of Krakow, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, premiers this evening, the 30th anniversary of the election of the Polish pope.

 

The movie, called «Testimony» and based on Dziwisz's book titled «My friend Karol» in its English translation, was filmed in both Poland and the Vatican

 

Pope Benedict XVI will view the film, which will be shown in the Paul VI Audience Hall.

 

The film is narrated by British actor Michael York, who yesterday told reporters about his participation in the project.
