Ukrainian Greek Catholics Participate in European Bishops’ Conference

Kyiv-The annual plenary session of the Council of Episcopal Conferences of Europe was held from 30 September to 3 October 2008 in Budapest with the participation of 34 national episcopal conferences of Europe. Patriarch Lubomyr (Husar), head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church (UGCC), and the secretary of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, Bishop Bohdan Dziurakh, participated in the session of the council on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC.
The subject of this year's session was the church and the media. The participants discussed the coverage of church life by the media and, on the other hand, how the church should cooperate with the media to spread the Gospel and how to use modern technologies more effectively within the church for pastoral and evangelization activities.
