Faith and Light Movement Organizes National Pilgrimage to Univ

Lviv -On 4 October 2008, an all-Ukrainian pilgrimage of Faith and Light communities to the Univ Monastery of the Holy Assumption (Peremyshliany District, in western Ukraine's Lviv Region) was conducted. Faith and Light is an international interreligious movement of communities of mentally disabled persons, their parents, and young volunteers. Pilgrimages to various places are organized every two years.

According to the press-center of Faith and Light in Ukraine, all 28 communities (approximately 500 persons) were to come to Univ for joint prayer. The pilgrimage was to begin with a Liturgy celebrated by Bishop Hlib Lonchyna, former Ukrainian national chaplain of the Faith and Light movement.

The subject of this year's pilgrimage is "To stand faithfully under the cross." One of the Ternopil communities was to present a pantomime to the participants with the participation of the disabled.
