Caritas Donetsk Opens Center for Street Children

09.09.2008 - Donetsk- The ceremonial opening of a social center for children who find themselves in difficult circumstances, run by Caritas-Donetsk, took place on 26 August 2008 in far eastern Ukrainian Donetsk.
During the opening of the center, Fr. Vasyl Panteliuk, director of Caritas Donetsk, said a prayer for all who helped in its construction, and also expressed gratitude to benefactors and volunteers and the Donetsk City Council for the decision to transfer the building for free lease. The mayor of Donetsk in reply officially expressed gratitude to Fr. Panteliuk of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church for a good initiative in defending homeless children and children who find themselves in difficult circumstances.
