Greek Orthodox Decide to Participate in Kyivan Rus Baptism Celebration

Athens- On 22 July 2008 at its regular meeting, the Permanent Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church passed a decision to have its official delegation, headed by Archbishop Hieronymos II, participate in the celebration of the 1020th anniversary of the Baptism of Rus, which will be held in Kyiv.
The Synod of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus passed a decision not to participate in the celebrations.
