American priest found murdered in Venezuela

An American priest in Venezuela is the victim of an apparent homicide. Sixty-eight-year-old Esteban Woods was found in his home dead suffering from numerous stab wounds this week.
LOS ANGELES, CA (Catholic Online) - Woods, from Vancouver, Washington, had served in the Catholic Church for more than 23 years. He worked primarily at the Church of the Sacred Family in Puerto Ordaz, a city in the state of Bolivar in eastern Venezuela.
Officials say that Woods served as a parish priest in two parishes and as a chaplain at a teacher's college in Caracas. Authorities have assigned two prosecutors to investigate.
