Lviv City Council Organizes TV Broadcast of Sunday Liturgy

LVIV - The Lviv City Council, Lviv Regional TV-Radio company, and Lviv Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church organized the broadcast of Sunday liturgies from St. George's Cathedral in Lviv. The broadcast begins on Sunday, November 8, 2009. This was reported by the press service of the Lviv City Council.
"Before last Sunday, I was approached by many Lviv residents. Many people who got ill could not come to church. And the idea was conceived: why not organize a TV broadcast for the Sunday service. We agreed this with the regional TV company and the Church and the service will be broadcasted starting this Sunday at 9 a.m. It is important now for as many people as possible to unite in prayer for the health of all the community and for the city to be under the protection of the Holy Spirit," said Mayor Andrij Sadovyj.
The press service representatives noted that according to the research of European immunologists, religiousness of a person is one of the important factors of a strong immunity.
