Another monument to John Paul II opened in Ukraine

Kiev, August 25, Interfax - A monument to the previous Pope John Paul II of Rome was opened in Odessa.
Representatives of the Polish general consulate in Odessa, Roman-Catholic and Ukrainian Greek-Catholic bishops as well as John Paul II's personal secretary Archbishop Stanislaw Dziwisz of Krakow attended the ceremony.
About two hundred believers participated in a procession with cross preceding the ceremony, Ukrainian mass media reports.
The monument is set on the wall of the Assumption Cathedral.
Another monument to the late pontific was erected over a year ago near the Carmelite church in the village of Bilshivtsy of the Ivano-Frankovsk Region of Ukraine.
