«Happy Vacation» Camp Held in Bila Tserkva

23.08.2008 - From August 4 to 16 in the village of Mala Vil'shanka in the Selektsiinyi area and from August 11 to 16 in the village of Bila Tserkva, Archeparchy of Kyiv, «Happy vacation» day camps were held. They were conducted by fathers of the Salesian order with animators from Lviv and Italy. This year's vacations were held with the slogan «Paths of love.»
During the camps children studied Christian ethics, watched performances, sang songs in the Ukrainian and Italian languages, and had small clubs and various relay races and competitions. In the camps 75 children from 8 to 15 years of age took part.
At the completion of the camp the children were visited by Most Rev. Bohdan (Dziurakh), Auxiliary Bishop of the Archeparchy of Kyiv. He celebrated a prayer service to the Mother of God. Talking to the children, the Bishop emphasized the joy of being with God.
After the completion of the prayer service, the children and the animators conducted the final program, in which they showed the knowledge they obtained during the "Happy vacation."
