Monks-impostors made an effort to take the greek-catholic temple in Ukraine

Kiev. August, 18. INTERFAX - Three monks from Pidgirci greek-catholic monastery in Lviv made an effort to take the temple of apostle Jacob in Stryj, Ukraine. During a trial with the police which arrived at the place of accident, monks, two of whom are citizens of Czech Republic, in the presense of many people beated the guardians of the law and resisted during the detention.

Before this they applied physical force against the bishop of the Stryj diocese of the Ukrainian greek-catholic church Taras (Sen'kiv), the Ukrainian MASS-MEDIA report.

As a representative of press-service of the Stryj diocese, father Paul Khud, explained , these monks are rebels "which wilfully and illegally, despite the Catholic church orders, proclaimed themselves bishops".

At the same time, they consider all legal greek-catholic bishops to be non-canonical.
